Halo Programme – Amy’s Story

Amy is from Southend

I wanted to have a more meaningful career, so I decided that Health and Social Care was the path that I wanted to take. In September 2021 the job centre referred me onto the Halo care training Course.

The course has changed my life. It is structured so brilliantly and will act as an excellent platform for people wanting to start a career in Health and Social Care. Having completed the course, I have learnt the appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviours needed in my current role as a support worker.

The staff that run the training programme are amazing. I felt personally supported with all aspects of the course and have been supported right up into my employment. Thanks to the staff I have been confident enough to apply for a support worker role and have been in employment for two months now. This course truly changed my life for the better.
