Mid and South Essex HCA Academy are Celebrating One Year of Empowering Healthcare Support Workers
Mid and South Essex Health Care Assistant Academy (HCA Academy) is celebrating its first birthday this month, marking an incredible year of supporting, training, and developing Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs) across the region.
Launched in July 2024, the HCA Academy was established to provide a centralised approach to the recruitment, induction, and career development of HCSWs within Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System.
The HCA Academy is a collaborative initiative, bringing together Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, Provide Community, Havens Hospices, and NHS Primary Care, with support from the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System. Over the past year, it has established itself as a cornerstone of workforce development by offering structured training and career development opportunities for both new and existing Healthcare Support Workers, playing a crucial role in enhancing frontline care across the region.
The HCA Academy team have produced a fantastic online brochure celebrating their achievements this year and you can read more about the Academy and their work here
Happy Birthday HCA Academy!
