Mid and South Essex Health & Care Academy’s Health Sector STEAM and Creative Technology Careers Roadshow is back on Monday 10th February 2025 at USP College Seevic Campus!

In collaboration with USP College and Basildon Council, the Health Sector STEAM and Creative Technology Careers Roadshow is back and this years event will again demonstrate the rich variety of roles in health based STEAM careers to young people in our region.

The event includes interactive career stations hosted by Academy Ambassadors from local NHS and Social Care organisations, activities showcasing tasks and career roles and demonstration workshops to help young people visually bridge the gap between what they enjoy doing, and what they could potentially do as a future career in the healthcare sector.

Careers Leads and Advisors from schools and colleges in Mid and South Essex are now invited to book their students onto a morning (9:30-11:45) or afternoon (12:30-14:45) session to take advantage of this exciting opportunity to connect curriculum learning with industry.

What attendees can expect

Interactive career stations – These stations will be supported by Academy Ambassadors who are industry professionals in their area.  Students can expect to hear about their job role, and participate in an interactive activity to learn more and to get hands on with technology.

Workshops – Workshops will run simultaneously to the interactive stands and students will be set challenges and provided with an opportunity to explore specific STEAM / Creative Technology areas in more depth. Students will be able to attend at least one workshop session as part of their Health Tech experience.
