In this detailed and interactive Orthoptics taster session, you’ll learn what the role of an Orthoptist in eye care entails and what studying the programme at the University of Sheffield is like. We’ll explore how orthoptists assess vision, and why it isn’t all about reading down a letter chart! By the end, you’ll be able to understand how Orthoptists can assess visual function in any patient, including those who can’t tell us what they can see. You’ll also hear from current Orthoptics students and staff and have the chance to ask any question you have.
