The ICB is seeking enthusiastic clinicians to support GP surgeries to improve delivery of asthma treatments for Children & Young People in their alliance area. The CYP Asthma Champions project will recruit 4 champions who will be paid for up to 17 half day sessions until 31/3/26 with the possibility of extending the project for a further year. Training will be provided in change management, asthma guidelines and priority stratification, with ongoing clinical support from our BCYP Clinical Lead.
Champions will collaborate on developing a Toolkit for practices to support improvements in their practice. Champions will engage with selected practices to review their data and pathways with a view to embedding updated NICE guidance and ensuring the best quality and outcomes for their patients.
